In Week 14, the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns will face off against Deshaun Watson and the Browns.
Deshaun Watson’s new suspension
The Bengals will play Watson in what promises to be a very competitive matchup toward the end of the 2022 season, following the announcement of Watson's updated 11-game suspension.
Cincinnati will indeed play Watson during the upcoming season, but it is odd that he will play against his former team, the Houston Texans, in his first game back from suspension.
Bengals fans are expected to make some noise at Paycor Stadium during the showdown.
In Week 14 of 2022, the Bengals will take on Deshaun Watson's Browns
Despite his 2020 season being nothing to sneeze at, Watson hasn't touched a football in two years.
It was Watson's best season in the NFL by far, as he threw for 4,823 yards and 33 touchdowns in 16 games. Due to how much he has wavered on apologizing for his past decisions, he has been a lightning rod of controversy since joining the Browns this offseason.
But Watson's return just gives the Bengals a better chance of winning the AFC North in 2022 with a thrashing of the Browns.
Cincinnati has all the pieces to make another Super Bowl appearance this season, with Joe Burrows coming off a successful second year and the young and talented core of the Bengals' 2021 team intact.
Nobody will stand in the way, not even Deshaun Watson's obnoxious antics, which make me cringe.
In the NFL, Watson has emerged as Public Enemy No. 1, and the Bengals will be thrilled to have the chance to defeat him in 2022.
